Creative Brief

Jo Rourke

Aim

To provide images for Jo Rourke to re-brand her website. Images to align with brand look and feel.

Current Brand Feel

Current look and feel is bright, playful and yet informative. I have not included any brand images as this is a re-brand so do not want to take form the current client site images, but based on assumption the new look and feel will be similar to the content currently in the blog for example the below example images have been included.

What to Expect

What to expect on the lead up to, on the day of shooting, and afterwards

Preparation

Paperwork

Before we lock in a date I will send over some paperwork to be signed to ensure we keep things professional.

Clothing Selection

Ideally do not wear anything overly bright and reflective. Try to stick with relatively neutral colours and tones, but that does not mean you have to pick dull gray outfits, I can provide some guidance, usually in the format of a Pinterest board if required.

Your Location

For on location shoots in your premises, this may sound like your mum hounding you but make sure the space/office/room is clean and free from clutter. This way you only pay me to shoot images not to clean your office.

Studio Shoots

I take care of the preparation for you, but will be in touch to discuss set designs prior to the date. If the desired design materials or furniture is not available I will also discuss alternatives.

On the day

Arrival and Setup

I will turn up around 1-2 hours prior (depending on the type of engagement) to start setup lights and get location prepared. If the shoot is in a studio I am likely to be there 3 hours before hand to great models and makeup/hair as that process can take quite some time.

Shooting

For on location setups the process is basically, once test shots are done, to run through a few set ups with the photo subject in various scenarios and poses relative to the story we need to tell. I will take a few different angles of each scenario, and adjust lighting setups, this means the subject will need to repeat the actions/poses a few times.

Breaks

posing is more physically intensive than it looks, so on longer, all day shoots, we usually break for coffee mid morning and then for lunch. We may also have an optional late afternoon coffee if required.

Paperwork

Yes there is sometimes more paperwork, any models used will need to sign off model release forms, regardless if the images with the models will be used or not.

Afterwards

Turnaround Times

Delivery time lines are highly dependent on the volume of images captured. For a half day or less this is usually a 1 week turn around. For full days , 2-3 weeks can be required. For a studio session with models and full production crew turnarounds can be up to 4 weeks, but can also be rushed if required at an additional cost.

Obtaining your files

All files are delivered via dropbox to the email address you supply at the beginning of the engagement.
